MOVA globe care and warranty

How should you clean a MOVA globe?

MOVA’s published care is short:

• rinse fingerprints and dust with water;

• wipe dry with a soft cloth;

• do not use abrasive cleaners.

If the supplied acrylic base still has its thin brown protective film, peel that film from the top and bottom before assembly. That cover is there to prevent scratches in transit.

What can be normal, not a defect?

Because each globe is assembled by hand, several construction details can be normal:

• a fluid bubble at the bottom, from the different densities of the clear fluids;

• a small fill hole on the outer shell and a dark injection mark on the inner globe — locations vary;

• a faint seam where the two acrylic halves meet (you can line it up with the equator);

• a possible inner seam and graphic offset. MOVA allows misalignment up to 3 mm and does not treat that offset as a warranty defect.

Studio photos are lit to show the graphic. The globe at home will look different under ordinary lamps, and colour can vary slightly between batches.

How long is MOVA’s manufacturer warranty?

MOVA currently states a one-year limited manufacturer warranty. For a purchase from 68travel, start any return, replacement, or faulty-product request through 68travel’s Returns and Warranty Service.

Can you take a MOVA globe on a plane?

For U.S. departures, MOVA’s FAQ says its liquid-filled globes are not permitted in carry-on baggage under TSA rules and may be packed in checked baggage. Rules can differ by country, so confirm the current requirements with your airline and the relevant security authority before travel.

Plan to keep the globe at home or in an office rather than travel with it.

Can I leave it in a sunny window? Use indoor ambient or indirect light. Prolonged direct sun can fade the graphic. Avoid high-powered halogen lamps because of heat.

The globe stopped. Is that a warranty case? Not automatically. Work through light, metal clearance, and a second room first. Those steps live on size, placement and troubleshooting. Open a warranty or replacement request when there is damage, or when the official home tests fail.
