Do you need a separate MOVA base?
The included acrylic stand is enough to display the globe and let it rotate. An optional base makes sense when you want the globe to feel more substantial on a desk or shelf, coordinate with wood or black furniture, or arrive as a more complete-looking gift.
The base does not power the globe. Rotation still depends on sufficient ambient light and a position away from iron, magnets, large electronics, and metal surfaces.
