Wooden Map of Czechoslovakia

Czechoslovakia is a country that stayed in people's hearts even after it was divided on the map. It stretches from the Šumava ridges and the Czech Basin through Moravian vineyards to the Tatra peaks and the lowlands of eastern Slovakia. It connects Prague with Bratislava, the Vltava with the Danube, and towns with castles with mountain valleys.

It is the story of two countries that were home to people for a long time. Bohemia, with its history and cities; Moravia, with its folklore and vineyards; Silesia, with its industrial strength; and Slovakia, with its mountains, rivers, and villages where tradition remains deeply rooted. On one map, places stand side by side that people once travelled between without crossing a border, and that still belong to one family’s shared memories.

Czechoslovakia is a land of memories, journeys, and a shared home that gets under your skin, whether you experienced it yourself or are discovering it now.

All map variations feature precision laser-cut wooden panels, glued by hand. Region borders, roads, names and cities are engraved (where space permits). Regions are stained in 4 different colours with natural wood stains.

Map Installation

Wooden country maps come in one piece (editions larger than approx. 100 cm consist of one or more pieces). Glue (like a construction adhesive), strong double-sided adhesive tape (included in the package) or other mounting solution (like framing mounts, screws, etc.) can be used to install the map on a wall. Different surfaces might require different mounting solutions.

No Customs and Duty

Our maps are manufactured and shipped from within the European Union, so there are no customs charges to the EEA countries. There are also no customs charges for our wooden maps and decorations to: Switzerland, Liechtenstein, Iceland, Norway, USA, Canada, Australia, New Zealand. Delivery Instructions

Our wooden and moss maps are sensitive to rough handling. Due to their weight and size, the wooden pieces are quality packed suitable for international transport via a courier company. From time-to-time damage may occur during transport. Therefore, you should inspect your package upon delivery and if there is any damage to the outside packaging, record that on the spot with the delivery driver (preferably also taking detailed photos or just decline delivery). Evidence of damage has to be sent to the shipping company and ourselves within 24 hours of delivery.
