More information

All types of maps are made from laser-cut, hand-glued plywood panels. Country borders, names and capitals are beautifully engraved (where space allows). The continents fit together perfectly, creating a beautiful look. The countries are stained in 5 different colors (plus one natural, unstained layer) using natural wood stain.

Our maps are made from natural materials, which are not perfect, and the wood grain reacts to staining in different ways. The maps are handmade, and that is what makes them original. The colors of individual countries may therefore vary from one map to another and may differ from what you see in photos online (phone and monitor screens also display colors differently).

Would you like to make your map or decoration feel even more personal? Perhaps you’d like to add an island, give a particular country a special colour, choose a custom stain or add a wooden inscription to complement your map? We regularly handle requests like these, so tell us what you have in mind. Customisations start at €30. Drop us an email at miro@68travel.com with a detailed description of your request.

The various Wooden World Map editions and Wooden Decoration can be customised in terms of colours. Complete list of our currently available stains for these maps can be found here.
