Six Moon Designs Flight Vest Harness is an upgraded vest harness for the Flight series backpacks, designed for users who want higher stability during rapid movement, trail running, fastpacking, or ultralight hiking. The construction with six points of attachment between the pack and the body helps minimize sway and bounce, thus reducing unwanted swaying and bouncing of the pack. This increases comfort while moving and supports better load distribution. The harness offers adjustable chest straps, two 4-way stretch pockets for 500 ml soft flasks, two additional stash pockets, two mesh pockets, and two zippered pockets. Elastic guidance for a hydration tube is also included. It is suitable for those who want to have essential gear quickly accessible without the need to remove the backpack from the back.

History
When Ron Moak founded Six Moon Designs years ago, his first backpack included the Vest Harness for a reason: not to run faster or hike more vigorously, but to enable him to hike comfortably without significant pain. Due to cancer, he struggled to hike for more than a few hours before stopping because of back pain.
The incorporation of the Vest Harness into the backpack provides significant additional support to the back and spine. By distributing the weight, he was able to walk more upright and over longer distances without pain.
If you have found that you're not able to carry a backpack as easily and as long as you used to, you might seriously consider using Vest Harness straps. We do not claim that the Vest Harness is a miracle cure, only that it helped Ron to truly enjoy backpacking again.
