PEAK LIGHT 40 is a technical backpack for high-altitude hiking, climbing, ski touring, and via ferratas. The outer materials made from 50% recycled polyamide 420D RIPSTOP and 100% recycled polyamide 420D are extremely abrasion-resistant, fast-drying, and highly water-resistant. ORTOVOX provides an extended five-year warranty.

Reducing the backpack weight by 30% For those who want to save even more weight, several elements can be detached from the backpack: the lid, removable padding of the hip belt, removable aluminum back frame, ice axe attachment, and D-Skifix ski attachment. In this way, the already low weight can be further decreased.

Comfortably carry a full backpack on the back The weight distribution is managed by the reinforcements in the back system. The shoulder straps are ergonomically adapted to the figure — they can be tightened from below and above. The hip belt seamlessly extends from the back system and literally hugs you — the backpack does not carry uncomfortably regardless of the load. If the backpack is not full, it can be compressed easily with the side compression straps.

Attach everything necessary to the backpack Skis (A-Skifix and D-Skifix up to 150 mm), poles, two ice axes, helmet (net included with the backpack), rope, carabiners (gear loops on the hip belt). The hip belt has a loop for climbing gear, and the ice axe can be hung over the shoulder strap with an integrated loop. An innovated triangular lid construction allows secure rope attachment; the lid can be detached and stored in the main compartment. After removing the lid, the backpack can be attached to a rope and dragged up the wall.

Wool back system SWISSWOOL HYBRID BACK SYSTEM combines premium materials and the latest technologies. It consists of a removable aluminum frame, technical foam, and three zones of pressed SWISSWOOL in areas of frequent contact with the back. The wool absorbs 29 times more sweat than a conventional foam back and does not chill. Physiotherapists collaborated on the development.

Back size “regular” For a medium back length of 42–50 cm (figure approximately 170–195 cm). The adjusted shape of shoulder straps and hip belt ensures an ideal fit.
