ORTOVOX PEAK 40 DRY backpack

PEAK 40 DRY is a waterproof mountain backpack for high-altitude hiking, climbing, ski mountaineering, and via ferrata. Thanks to the high-frequency welding of robust waterproof material NYLON 360D and polyurethane coating inside, it is truly a waterproof backpack (50,000+ mm). The backpack is PFC free — without harmful chemicals. Place it on a rock, lean it against a tree, or walk in the rain all day — the equipment and backpack will remain dry without a rain cover.

Comfortable access to the content The main compartment can be accessed through two entries. The first is through a collar under a removable top lid with SIMPLY & FAST adjustment — the entry is released only after the plastic buckle is tightened. The second is a side zipper covered by a waterproof zipper — the contents remain protected even when opened. The bright inner space makes orientation easier.

Lightening the backpack to 1,130 g The weight with all elements is 1,440 g, but by removing the padding of the waist belt and lid, you can reduce it to 1,130 g.

Full backpack comfortably on the back Reinforcements in the back system evenly distribute the weight. Shoulder straps can be tightened from the bottom and top, the waist belt smoothly transitions from the back system and embraces the body. When the backpack is not full, it can be tightened with side compression straps.

Thought-out pocket system (7 pcs)

• Separate pocket for avalanche equipment (shovel, probe) inside the compartment
• Elastic strap and buckle for bottle or hydration reservoir with hose outlet between the straps

Attach everything you need to the backpack Skis (A-Skifix), a rope, two ice axes, poles, helmet, carabiners. Includes additional straps and a helmet net. Whistle on the chest strap, EMERGENCY CARD in the lid. The waist belt has a loop for climbing gear, the ice axe is hung on the shoulder strap with an integrated loop. The triangular lid allows the rope to be firmly attached; it can be disconnected and stored in the compartment through the side zipper. After removing the lid, the backpack can be attached to the rope and pulled up the wall.

FULL CONTACT LIGHT Back System 3D molded memory foam in S-SHAPE ergonomically mirrors body movement. Shoulder straps are sewn directly onto the back system for uniform weight distribution. The chest strap with a whistle stabilizes the straps during skiing descent. The back system is covered with softshell, on which snow does not stick. The waist belt is detachable for lower weight.

Back size "regular" For a medium back length of 42–50 cm (height approximately 170–195 cm). The adjusted shape of shoulder straps and waist belt ensures an ideal fit.

Warranty 5 years ORTOVOX provides a five-year warranty and its own service center for out-of-warranty repairs.
