Product Description
The Ferrino Volta 2 is a lightweight double-wall tunnel tent for two people. The manufacturer recommends it for backpacking and bikepacking. The packed tent fits in a backpack or can be carried on a fork or handlebars.
What it's suited for
Three arched poles support the tunnel and large front vestibule. According to the manufacturer, the vestibule has space for drying clothes, cooking, and storing gear, even in bad weather. The tent's volume is 3 m³. When packed, it measures 20 × 44 cm, and according to the manufacturer, it weighs 2.25 to 2.6 kg.
Design and setup
The frame consists of three 7001 T6 aluminum poles connected by an elastic cord. The pole ends are color-coded to make them easier to match during setup. The tunnel holds its shape once secured with pegs and guy lines. Lightweight aluminum pegs and Fast Adjustment guy lines secure the tent.
Rain protection and ventilation
Taped seams on the flysheet and floor, along with three-layer reinforcement at the floor corners, protect high-stress areas. The double-entry design protects against water running down the tent. Front and rear ventilation flaps let air into the tent. Inside, there are pockets, gear loops, and clotheslines for hanging clothes. The carry bag has taped seams and an Aqua Stop closure.
