Product Description
The Ferrino Thar 2 is a lightweight double-wall tunnel tent for two people. It is suitable for trekking, bivouacking, and camping when you want to keep weight low and have a tent that pitches quickly.
What it's suitable for
The Thar 2 is a three-season model for spring, summer, and fall. Its tunnel shape tapers at the foot end and has one entrance with a vestibule for a backpack or footwear. When packed, it measures 40 × 17 cm, so it takes up little space in your backpack.
Construction and pitching
The supporting frame consists of poles made of hardened 7001 T6 aluminum, joined with elastic cord and radial connectors. The inner tent is attached to the poles with hooks and sleeves, and the flysheet is secured to the frame. Guy lines and aluminum pegs keep the tent taut.
Rain protection and ventilation
Taped seams and reinforced floor corners protect high-stress areas. Adjust the height of the flysheet above the ground using the aluminum buckles to change airflow according to the weather. Ventilation sleeves and the Camera air system with a large insect mesh help reduce condensation. The doors have mosquito netting.
