Kriváň is a national landmark and one of Slovakia’s best-known symbols. Its significance doesn’t come from being the tallest. It comes from its shape, which you recognize at first glance: crooked and unmistakable, just as we picture it when we say “Slovak mountains.” The same outline is captured on the glass.
