It is very light and packable in its own pocket, while its thermal insulation is comparable to much heavier down jackets. With the waterproof DRILITE® Loft outer material, you can wear the BALTORO WOMEN'S JACKET even in harsh conditions with the confidence that the down will not immediately become wet and lose its thermal insulation properties.

A down jacket with a unique offset chamber design
The new patented "Double layer offset baffle construction" allows for much better thermal insulation properties than conventional quilted chambers, where most heat escapes through the cold seams. The basis of this construction is a very lightweight, heat-reflective inner fabric to which the seams of the individual opposing chambers are sewn to interlock.

DRILITE® Loft 20 D - water and wind resistant
DRILITE® Loft 20 D is a strong and lightweight waterproof surface material with PU coating. It is highly breathable and water and wind resistant. It also has a DWR water repellent treatment on the surface, which further helps the down to stay dry even in wet conditions. This protects the down from getting wet and therefore from losing its thermal insulation properties. Thanks to its waterproofness and low weight, the down retains a high loft for maximum thermal insulation in all conditions.

Sourced from China, this high quality duck feather contains a minimum of 90% down, has a minimum fill power of 700 cuin and meets the ethical DOWN CODEX®. The feathers are gently cleaned with water without chemical treatment. This destroys dust mites and their habitat, which allergy sufferers will appreciate. The feathers retain their important grease and loft, are easy to pack, highly insulated and light weight.
