This product does not include any adhesive tape. You can either use the tape supplied with your wooden map or you may purchase an additional roll from the accessories section. A paper guide is included which shows the locations and shapes of all of the islands. Please note that due to natural wood manufacturing limitations most islands are scaled up - which means that they are not a true 1:1 geographical representation.

I placed an order with you on 16 March for a wooden world map, model XL, which I received on Thursday 21 March 2024.
I had added a few options, such as extra islands and flags.
Unfortunately, when I unpacked it this weekend I realised that the island supplement was missing island plate no. 3. I've received booklets no. 1, 2 and no. 4 twice, but not no. 3.
Would it be possible to send me the XL wood islands booklet n° 3 in English.
J’ai effectué une commande chez vous en date du 16 mars d’une carte du monde en bois modèle XL que j’ai reçue en date de jeudi 21 mars 2024.
J’y avais ajouter des options comme par exemple le supplément d’îles et les drapeaux.
Malheureusement en la déballant ce week-end je me suis aperçu que dans le suppléments d’îles il me manque la plaquette d’îles n° 3. J’ai reçu les plaquettes n° 1, 2 et deux fois la n° 4 mais pas la n° 3.
Serait-il possible de me renvoyer la plaquette n° 3 des îles grandeur XL bois en anglais.

the location and rotation of the islands on the attached sample maps is not quite accurate (minimal deviations, but I checked with another map)... finally a good result

The islands complement the main map well. However, the geodesy of the northern islands seems different from the main map, which has an impact on the aesthetics

The islands are in line with the rest, the product is still of good quality and workmanship. I don't give 5 stars for two main reasons: I didn't get the map with the positions of the islands (we would have used phone maps to position them correctly anyway, but that's handy) and not all the islands are consistent in colour with the state (it would be nice if islands in the same state had the same colour, but that doesn't always happen).
It should also be noted that it would be useful in the base product installation map to highlight the presence of these extra islands so that when mounting the world map, one retains spaces for these islands because some are inserted between pre-installed islands
All in all, we are satisfied with the result!
Le isole sono in linea con il resto, il prodotto è comunque di buona qualità e fattura. Non do 5 stelle per due motivi principali: non mi è arrivata la cartina con le posizioni delle isole (avremmo comunque usato le mappe del telefono per posizionarle correttamente, ma fa comodo) e non tutte le isole hanno coerenza nel colore con lo stato (sarebbe bello che le isole dello stesso stato avessero lo stesso colore, ma non sempre succede).
Da notare anche che sarebbe utile nella cartina di installazione del prodotto base, sottolineare la presenza di queste isole extra così da far in modo che montando la mappa del mondo uno mantenga gli spazi per queste isole perché alcune sono inseriscono tra isole pre-installate
Tutto sommato siamo soddisfatti del risultato!

Bonjour, merci pour cet article. De nombreux îlots (y compris les îlots standard) sont surdimensionnés. Il n'est pas possible de les fabriquer à l'échelle réelle 1:1 car elles seraient extrêmement petites. Notre carte est destinée à la décoration murale et l'extension des îles fonctionne parfaitement avec les îles standard. Nous vous avons contacté pour essayer de comprendre quel est votre problème spécifique :)

Most of the islands are disproportionately large, and it's impossible to add them to the map without destroying the overall aesthetic of the map.
La taille des îles est totalement disproportionnée pour la plupart et il est impossible de les ajouter à la carte sans que cela ne détruise l'esthétique globale de la carte.

Very difficult to stick on and find on the card. Maybe you could put the double-sided adhesive tape directly on it?

The cut is precise, even on the small pieces. These small islands add a real plus to the map, but they are not easy to place. Especially as the proportions of some of the islands are not respected. This is the part that took me the longest and is quite imprecise.
La découpe est précise même sur les petites pièces. Ces petites îles ajoutent un vrai plus à la carte mais elles ne sont pas faciles à placer. D'autant que les proportions de certaines îles ne sont pas respectées. C'est la partie qui m'a pris le plus de temps et qui est assez imprécise.

Unlabelled islands should be given the No imprint so that a name legend can then be created. A paper position template would be very helpful.
