Alaskan Maker WILD PEAKS Edition

Wild Peaks is a glass beer mug with a relief that offers two views. From the side, it forms a mountain landscape. Look at it from above, and the same shape reveals an animal’s head. It isn’t an image stuck to the bottom. The relief is shaped so that the mountain and animal emerge from a single mold.

Each design has its own relief, because a grizzly bear, wolf, fox, and mouflon each call for a different silhouette. The mug has a capacity of 600 ml and weighs 980 g, making it a full-sized beer mug, not just a decoration. As the beer level drops, the relief is revealed until the whole animal can be seen at the bottom.

Each mug is made of soda-lime glass. Molten glass is poured into a mold under pressure, then each mug is hand-finished, refined, and polished. It is sold individually in a gift box in kraft, khaki, and orange, featuring Alaskan Maker’s topographic pattern. The sides of the box show the animal, mountain, and collection name, so you can give it as a gift just as it arrives.
